Simple Fish Vatapá Recipe

Vatapá is a very creamy stew that is part of Bahian cuisine. There are several recipes for this dish, however today I bring you a very simple fish vatapá recipe, with very simple ingredients and that you usually have at home. Check out this delicious and creamy suggestion.

Ingredients for making simple fish Vatapá:

 4 hake slices

 4 slices of bread

 1 slice of ginger

 1 onion

 2 garlic cloves

 1 cup of peanuts

 1 chili pepper

 4 large ripe tomatoes

 1 can of coconut milk

 200 milliliters of milk

 2 tablespoons of olive oil

 2 tablespoons of palm oil

 salt to taste

 Black pepper to taste

How to make simple fish Vatapá:

Start this fish vatapá by gathering all the necessary ingredients.

Grate the ginger and season the hake with the ginger, black pepper and salt. Reserve.

Remove the skin from the tomatoes and cut in half, along with the chili pepper.

In a blender place the bread, plain milk, coconut milk, tomatoes, chilli pepper and peanuts. Beat well until you get a smooth sauce.

Place the fish in a pan, together with the oil, onion and minced garlic. Cook on both sides, until golden.

After the fish is cooked, remove from the pan and clean the fish of skin and bones.

After the fish is clean, put it back in the pan, add the sauce previously prepared and add the palm oil.

Mix well until it starts to come loose from the pan. Your fish vatapá is ready. When serving, add chopped coriander.
